Here's
my travel tip of the day. This
Canadian couple (pictured below)
arrived on Koh Jum after visiting
Krabi and, unfortunately, the young
lady picked up a bad case of bedbugs
from the sheets in their guesthouse.
If you ever get these nasty little
parasites there is a sure way to get
rid of them. Buy a small bottle of
FINGERNAIL POLISH (clear is best, any
color will work) and paint the welts
that arise from the bites over with
the polish and let dry. Repeat for a
couple two or three days. It will
sting a bit at first, but the dry
polish forms a plastic barrier that
suffocates the critters, and you can
go swimming without washing it off!
AND if you use white polish you can
have stylin' white spots all over your
legs for a few days. |
