Located in the hills at the
northern end of Ao Si Beach,
the front side of Ao Si Bungalows offers a commanding view of
Koh Jum plus outstanding views of the beach all the way to
Golden Pearl Bungalows. On the backside of the hill (up where
the monkeys live) Ao Si has a
wonderful panorama
of all the western beaches of Koh Pu. You won't find a better view of Koh Jum that you
have at Ao Si.

The
huts are built on the hillside and all are quite comfortable
with wrap-around porches to take advantage of the views. All
have showers and toilets.

The
restaurant is at the bottom of the hill and is a funky little
place built right into rocks. The food is outstanding,
especially the ahahn talay (seafood). They do massages
in a little hut down by the beach. The beach at Ao Si is one
of the best on Koh Jum with very few rocks. The swimming is
good even at low tide. If you want a change of pace Magic
Beach is a ten minute walk to the north thru a rubber
plantation. Baan Ting Rai is
a 5 minute walk for those requiring culture. |

Ao Si's spacious bungalows
are B300 to B800/night, and are an excellent bargain. Good
food, plenty of monkeys, panoramic views of Ao Si Beach, and a friendly
atmosphere make this wonderfully landscaped little resort
tucked up in the jungle a good choice. Lots of people return
to Ao Si year after year. You can't go wrong with this very
nice place.
